The needs are they the same? What about safety conditions and isolation? How the “living together” has changed? Why is it such a building classified rather than another? What are the implications of these developments social, cultural and economic fate and the renovation of these large complexes?
Two examples were chosen, emblematic both of these issues:
Ieder Zijn Huis (Evere, Be) by the architect Willy Van Der Meeren and whose renovation was assigned to the office and Origin
PARK HILL ??(Sheffield, UK), built by architects Ivor Smith and Jack Lynn 1957-60 and currently undergoing a major renovation programme by developers Urban Splash with architects HawkinsBrown, Studio Egret West and landscape architects Grant Associates.
